Founding Story
When Bob Dalton’s mother became homeless, he was moved to take action. Inspired by her story, he started to call homeless shelters in his area to ask what they needed. After learning that shelters needed blankets, he launched Sackcloth & Ashes—donating one to a local shelter for every blanket purchased.
Made Sustainably
Our blankets begin in Prato, Italy, where discarded garments are hand-sorted, broken down by fiber, and spun into new yarn. Each one is a product of tradition, craftsmanship, and the belief that beauty can be made from what others throw away.
